The school’s design, guided by the principles of Transparency, Flexibility, and Collaboration, organized three mini-schools within a 300,000 sq. ft. floorplate.
While perimeter classrooms benefited from ample daylight, the deep interior core required thoughtful, energy-efficient lighting to sustain a daylight-like ambiance and balance the contrast with naturally lit areas. In the Commons, the focus shifted beyond horizontal footcandles and uniformity to consciously illuminate ceiling planes and architectural features, especially in the core spaces, enhancing brightness and visual engagement.
